Post Blog 10/15 Courtney Sparling

I liked the way we broke up the reading during Monday's class, having pairs pick out important quotations and inform the class on the importance of their particular reason. It was nice to hear everyone's interpretations of the reading, especially since the reading involved the real life application of Star Wars, which for me at least, made it easier to grasp and understand what the theory behind it was trying to say.

I think that the above image is a perfect example in summarizing both the readings that we had for class on Monday. We have the idea of superhighways of communication evolving over time along with the idea that Star Wars' narrative can be played with and used in spoofs, memes, etc. because of the accessibility of these new forms of media technology becoming accessible to the general public, instead of just big production companies. 

Overall, I liked the change up in class and the readings for this week. I feel more confident about understanding these theorists and hope that there are more theorists to come that use specific real life applications like these did.
